Resource: Unrecognised neuropsychological need and homelessness

The presentation “Making space for us all” was presented to raise awareness of and begin to address how services can engage with the unrecognised needs of people who are experiencing homelessness with an undiagnosed brain injury.

This presentation addressed the following key points: –

  • Around 50% of the homeless population are thought to have a brain injury
  • People with unrecognised neuropsychological needs often fall between service gaps or ‘bounce’ between services
  • How can we better meet the needs of this largely hidden population?
